Refund Policy
Digital downloads are non-returnable by their nature, but we believe in standing behind our products. Here's exactly when refunds apply, when they don't, and how to ask.
01.Overview
ApexResell sells digital products delivered electronically. Once you download a Product, it cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense — the file already exists on your computer. However, we recognize that mistakes happen and products occasionally fall short of expectations.
This policy explains the limited circumstances in which we issue refunds, and how to request one.
02.EU Consumer Rights
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers normally have a 14-day withdrawal right when buying online. However, this right does not apply to digital content delivered immediately if the consumer expressly consents to the start of performance and acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal.
When you complete a purchase:
By clicking the "Buy now" button and completing checkout, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you waive your 14-day statutory withdrawal right. This is required for instant access and is industry-standard for digital download platforms in the EU.
Despite this waiver, we still offer refunds in the situations described in Section 3 below as a goodwill measure.
03.When We Issue Refunds
We will issue a full refund if any of the following apply:
- Technical issue with the file — the downloaded file is corrupt, missing, or unusable, and our support team cannot resolve it within 7 days of being notified;
- Duplicate purchase — you accidentally bought the same Product twice within 30 days;
- Material misrepresentation — the Product as delivered substantively differs from the description on the Site (e.g., we advertised 100 templates and the file contains only 50);
- Unauthorized purchase — your account was used to make a purchase by someone without your authorization (subject to security verification).
04.When Refunds Don't Apply
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Buyer's remorse — you changed your mind after downloading;
- Compatibility issues— the Product requires software you don't own (e.g., Photoshop, Canva Pro). System and software requirements are listed on every product page;
- Use case mismatch— the Product doesn't fit your specific business context but functions as advertised;
- Reselling failure — you bought a Product with Master Resell Rights and were not successful at reselling it. MRR is a license, not a guarantee of business success;
- After 14 days — refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase;
- After repeated downloads — if you downloaded the Product more than three (3) times before requesting a refund, this is treated as evidence of acceptance.
Free starter bundles are not refundable for any reason — they were free to begin with. You can simply remove them from your library if you no longer want them.
05.How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email refunds@apexresell.com within 14 days of your purchase;
- Include your order number (from your receipt email) and the email address used to make the purchase;
- Briefly describe the reason for your request — be specific so we can investigate (e.g., "file won't open in Photoshop CC," "product description claimed 4K but files are 1080p");
- For technical issues, attach a screenshot or screen recording showing the problem if possible;
- We will respond within 3 business days with our decision and next steps.
06.Processing Time
If your refund is approved:
- The refund is initiated through Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor) within 1 business day of approval;
- Funds typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank and card issuer;
- The refund will be issued to the original payment method;
- Your access to the refunded Product is revoked from your library once the refund is processed.
07.Chargebacks
We strongly encourage you to contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks are time-consuming and damaging for small businesses. In nearly every case, we can resolve the issue faster and more amicably via email.
Filing a chargeback for a purchase you did not first attempt to resolve with us may result in:
- Permanent suspension of your account;
- Forfeiture of any unredeemed XP rewards or store credit;
- Forwarding of the dispute to our payment processor for review;
- Where applicable, recovery of associated fees through legal channels.
None of this restricts your statutory right to chargeback for fraudulent or unauthorized transactions — we just ask that you give us a fair chance first.
